Comments about Savage Arms Stevens Model 512 Gold Wing Shotgun:

I have loved this gun since the day I brought it home. Great finish, It swings beautifully and comes up great. Doesn't kick very hard like a normal over under. The buttstock has a nice pad on it. The only thing it could use is extended chokes. You will not be unhappy with this American Made gun!

Comments about Savage Arms Stevens Model 512 Gold Wing Shotgun:

Great gun! Beautiful wood, shoulders & swings nicely, good pattern. A little tight when new, but gets better with use. Won't find better in this price range.

512 broke after 5 months and 100 shells

Comments about Savage Arms Stevens Model 512 Gold Wing Shotgun:

I bought a 20 ga 512 in May 2010. I have fired fewer than 200 shells through it. After the last time afield, the gun no longer fires when the action is open and closed and the triggers are pulled.

I took it to Gander Mt. because it is still under the original mfgr's warranty. Unfortunately, the gunsmith is backlogged and won't be able to look at it for four weeks.

If you google this shotgun on the Internet, you will see a lot of praise but also alot of complaints and it breaking. The triggers are frequently the issue.
