      I got this as a gift and couldn't have been more pleased with it. It was easy to set up and fill and I haven't had any problems with moldy feed as I've had in the past with a more expensive battery operated feeder. I spread a little peanut butter on the rod and in no time the deer were coming regularly to feed.

          I set one of these 4 nights ago in my suburban Cleveland back yard. I had deer on it the first night and every day since. Last night I had a BIG 8 pointer with foot longs G2's that I'd never seen before. Wish I'd see this many deer when I'm out in my treestand in the country, can't hunt these suburban bucks... Feeder wildly exceeds my expectations.

          I wasn't 100% confident that deer would figure out how to get the corn to drop, but they did. I hung the yellow trigger approx. 4 feet from the ground. Small and large deer were able to get corn to drop. So satisfied that I purchased two more. Only complaint is that the lid has a recessed lip and water will collect. Moultrie should keep the lid completely flat or make is convex so water spills off. Otherwise, very happy with this product.

              This sets up pretty easily, and yes 40 lbs of corn will fit in it. I used a deer hoist to get mine off the ground. There's still plenty of corn in the fields, so I am not seeing much action yet, but I suspect when it gets colder and the corn gets cut, it could be a good attractor for my deer stand.
