            The feeder unit that is used to spread the feed is cheaply made (thin plastic casing). Being that the feeder is a hanging feeder it must be lowered to be filled, doing so puts pressure on the feeder unit and it will not hold up. The problem could be solved by making legs for the feeder or by attaching a more durable unit. I do give the company props on the quality of the hanging system and durability of the barrel. Also, it is very easy to assemble.

                    The manufacturer does not list that there is a support rod running from hanger to hanger. I would assume that the design is superior and you should not experience any issues.
