The cot packs away in a very durable carry bag with handles and will in my opinion, like the cot, last a life time.

The cot opens a little different at first and is very self explanatory to set up completely without the included easy to understand instructions. It is a sturdy cot that takes some breaking in and is some what difficult to put together the first time strength wise until the frame and the cot durable materials are used to each other. The second time it goes together is noticeably easier than the 1st time.

Gear is easily stored under the cot to save floor space.

When set up, the full cot size is- 8 feet, by 4 feet and 23 inches high.

The cot folded in the carry case size is- 4 feet long by 8 inches wide and 5 inches thick.

Truly Amazing Through And Through Providing A Great Night Sleep.

THANK YOU GANDER MOUNTAIN (this cot has changed my life)

The clips that hold cot together for stabilty broke, and we cant get replacement parts. Called the 1800 number at Gander, they sent us to the local store. The local store sent us to a manufacturer in CHINA. The gentleman doesnt understand us and guess what-he wants us to send a picture in an email. He told us we should just buy another cot, it would be cheaper. Be advised....also they wont accept returns on this item even though we have never used them. We've had such bad luck with Gander Mountain and the return policy, be sure you ask before you walk out of the store about returns...the answer we always get is "sorry, we can't accept that return" and they tell us to call the manufacturer.

Comments about Gander Mountain XL Zero Gravity Cot:

Bought this to replace a cheaper uncomfortable cot. It is very heavy. The cot is very comfortable once set up, but it never assembled easily from the first time, and never got easier after that. The guiding pieces on each end did not help, and one broke in the first use. the straps also snapped after 2 uses. I had only used this cot less than a dozen times and could not get it fully assembled the last time and while trying to put the ends on, the entire structure broke at the joints. I am very disappointed for the money spent. ( ftr--I was never able to assemble it by myself and I am 6'2" 200 lbs. and athletic).
I am sorry to say this is not a practical cot for camping.

Although these cots were very sturdy and seem to be well made, the fact that Gander Mt. sent us used and broken items insures that we will never purchase anything from them online again.

Comments about Gander Mountain XL Zero Gravity Cot:

Ordered it online and when it came and I took it out of the box, it was beat up and missing one fastener and one of the others was stripped. I sent it back and bought one from their store in Palm Beach Gardens. I'm happy with that one. The only thing I would change is where it's made. The quality could be better but it's good for what I need.

Comments about Gander Mountain XL Zero Gravity Cot:

These are very large, comfortable cots. They have a large foot print at 3' X 8' but that also makes them roomy as well. We plan to use them as extra beds in our RV for the kids (grown & >6' as well). We used them outside to go to sleep while looking at the stars from the Triple Cross Ranch in Texas.

Comments about Gander Mountain XL Zero Gravity Cot:

I LOVE this Cot. After years of air matresses deflating in the middle of the night, I couldn't be happier than with this cot. Extremely comfortable; I almost prefer it to my own bed. And I am not sure why others thought it was hard to put together. I am a 5'6-135lb girl and thought it was very simple and didn't require to much muscle. My dad will enjoy this when he comes to visit. Being a 6'6 man, he is uncomfortable on my couch. But this 8' cot will work like a charm.

Comments about Gander Mountain XL Zero Gravity Cot:

This cot is the most compfortable one I've ever slept on. I am about 6'2" and there is plenty of legth for me to stretch out, it also has has a good amount of width. The crossbars are a quite difficult to get on at first, but it gets easier as the cot breaks-in and you get used to it, reading the directions first will deffinetly help. I thought it was impossible to get them on at first, but you just have to push really hard to stretch the bungie cord on the sides (that gives the cot its compfort) but again it gets easier its hardest the first time. It takes some stregth to get it together. I have had the cot for about a year and I can put it together within 5 minutes now. The cot has as much room as a twin bed, plus some legth, and with the addition of a pad it is every bit as compfortable too. The cot is rather heavy, not the cot to carry anywhere far, but it is very well built. I have a 9ftx9ft tent and the cot barely fits inside diaganaly, since the tent is a dome and the cot is pretty high off the ground. I am looking into getting a small solo tent that i can just put ontop the cot. The attached neoprene pillow is rather useless as a pillow, I just use it for storage. I just spent the 4th of July weekend sleeping on it and i slept as good as on a bed. I would take sleeping on this cot over a couch any day. I would deffinetly recommend this cot to anyone looking for a compfortable cot.
