Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough Out Hot 8" Military Boots:
Absolutly no problem with laces. Eyelets are speed lace design. You dont need to take the laces out of the eyelets. When you get the boots, tie a knot in the ends of the laces. Laces are long enough to let your feet slip out when loosened. When you put the boots on, pull the laces and the boots will tighten right up. Make sure the toungue is where you want it when you tighten the laces. within a week it'll form right to the right spot.

Comments about Danner Desert TFX Rough Out Hot 8" Military Boots:
Time will tell but 2 weeks into them I like them a lot. I've seen the reviews about hard lacing but havent found it to be much of an issue. It's just that there is a lot of lace to tighten but being as tall as they are, it's expected. 4th pair of Danners and s far they have all been fine boots.

Q:
how are this boots in everyday winter weather as far as ice and snow for walking in. i get in harsh winter weather im looking for a good bootAsked on 9/2/2009 by doug from springfield ohio1 answer
A:
This boot is great for any weather. Although you may want to waterproof them because mine seem to leak through when in ankle deep water for extended time periods.Answered on 10/13/2009 by KAW42 from Manhattan, Kansas
Q:
Are they airport friendly? (do they set to metal detectors)Asked on 8/27/2009 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
I have never had any problems with them in airports. Although when and if you are asked to take your shoes off because of the lace-up past the ankle it takes time and people may get annoyed behind you for holding up the line. They are airport friendly at your own risk if you know what I mean.Answered on 10/13/2009 by KAW42 from Manhattan, Kansas
