Excellent product, have bought 4 pairs in 8 years, high and low heights. Long wearing, braethable waterproof. Comfy!. Wear these 12-18 hours a day on duty, very satisified. Did notice the speed lace hooks were changed out to eyelets.. I like speed lace hooks better, BUT.. have not torn a uniform pant hem out since Danner changed.

The boot looks nice but is not that comfortable. I have had them a year and they have never really broke in and I work for UPS so I wear them often. The other complaint is that the sole wears out very quickly. The boot still looks new but the tread is almost completely gone. I will not purchase again

Comments about Danner® Striker II GTX 4.5" Uniform Boot:
I've had them for 2 yrs and they are still the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned. Soles have worn some, but I wear them 12-16 hours a day. Only thing that's worn out have been the the strings (1X) and that was because of the cheap plastic eyelets (bad idea). Eyelets are my only complaint, they break too easily.

I use them for work. Sitting in a car the stiff back ankle support is hard to break in all in all though Way better quality of boot than competitors for the price

Q:
I am looking for something stable on wet surfaces such as finished concrete and wood. Is this boot good for this environment ?Asked on 1/12/2009 by dave from charleston wv1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Danner Striker would be a fairly good boot for these surfaces. These boots are usually worn by policemen or emergency personnel. I would recommend choosing a traditional work boot if you are going to be on your feet all day.Answered on 1/26/2009 by Bradley from Gander Mountain

Q:
Are these boots insulated for warmth?Asked on 12/29/2008 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
No. I wear mine for 30 minute stretches in temps as low as 10 degrees Fahrenheit, and have never had a problem with my feet getting too cold. Beyond short times though, I wouldn't count on them.Answered on 2/26/2011 by Mike from Indianapolis, IN
