I've on;y hafd this for a day but can tell it is going to be one of the best purchases I've made in a while! I have never made jerky before and made over a pound this morning in 3 1/2 hrs. I thought it'd take much longer so I had time to load it up again and made the next batch in less than 3 hrs (the first one was a little too dry.) It is so easy and simple to use. I can't wait to try some fruit. Also, I ordered it w/ free standard shipping and it was here in two days. Great job Gander!

I made 5lbs of venison jerky total. I was able to do it only loading the dehydrator twice. Each session only took 5 hours. All the meat was dryed evenly. The gun that comes with it also came in handy

It works great. So far have made beef jerky & dried some fruit. It is really good to be able to control the heat. Product performs as described and GM did agreat job of shipping & handling. Product arrived as stated on time.

I have had other dehydrators and I think this one works faster and gets things done evenly. you dnn't have to rotate trays. Just turn it on and walk away

This dehydrator is the most easy to use, and produces the best jerky that one could ever produce.
The 500 wt is more than enough to know that your end result will be safe when you follow safe food prep.
I have tried venison and ground beef in this unit, and all have turned out perfect. (your friends and neighbors will be knocking on door for more)
The jerky gun that comes with unit is good, not a professonal, but will work well with years of use if handled and cleaned properly.
All in all, you will not find a better dehydrator for price than this.

I gave these as Christmas presents to my son and son-in-laws. They are all avid hunters (deer, wild turkey, duck, goose). Plus they will eat all the jerky they can get their hands on. They were ecstatic when they opened these Christmas morning(three days ago) so I feel that if the gifts perform as stated, then they will be very satisfied. In turn, I will be happy and pleased.
