Equipped with five-segment digital identification, three-tone audio feedback, three operating modes and touch-pad selection, the Lone Star offers the flexibility you need for different types of treasure hunting. The Lone Star also features coin-depth detection to approximately 8" and an auto notch to automatically eliminate undesirable objects from being detected. Includes carrying bag. Requires two 9 volt batteries (not included). Approximately 4 lbs.

      I purchased my Lone Star from Gander Mountian a few months ago and love it. I have used it on land and on the beach. I have found a few silver dimes and on the beach I have found plenty of change, a toe ring, a gold wedding ring, and even a gold necklace. I also located metal property line markers on some land that I just purchased.

      Tone doesn't change when actually locating an item, making it difficult to know when something is below the surface. Item must be very shallow to locate, even with new batteries.

            The Bounty hunter lone star, was a gift for my 16 year old step son in Florida. He said it works great, he has found some old rusty nails and a tin can, he has only had it for three weeks and for two of them its been raining. he is excited about taking it to the beach(Atlantic Ocean)as soon as the rain stops.

              Very easy to use, lightweight, and so far I found it to work 10 to 12 inches down in the dirt and sand with good clear signal, I found a dime, quarter, and a gold wedding band I sold the Gold band for the gold market price of $38.00. not bad I'm already up $38.35
