Comments about Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II Metal Detector:
The manual is no help at all for a novice like me. My dad even buried some things so we could test it out. We tried every setting and the only one that actually found the 3 burial spots was the all metal mode. The other modes would beep then stop, kept changing identifications of what was buried. Never did have a steady alert. Very confusing. This should come with a CD to explain and demonstrate how to use it. I'm taking it back and seeing what other models look like. I would not reccommend this for a beginner or novice user based on my experience. I am very frustrated. I don't like that it doesn't show how deep the item might be. It is light weight but the curve of the handle makes it difficult to feel comfortable. Maybe the arm mount could be made to rotate ? For the price it comes with no bag and no pin pointer ?

Comments about Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter II Metal Detector:
As one who doesn't like to read owner manuals, a brief dvd showing how to use it in its various modes would make it much more enjoyable for me to use. I know, I should read the manual more thoroughly and follow the instructions, but I read a few pages and they aren't very user friendly. For the price, it has a lot of features. Now, if I can just find some good places to hunt.
