The user-controlled sensitivity meter helps to determine signal strength, while the discrimination knobs enable you to hunt for coins in varying conditions. For added versatility, the Tracker IV also comes equipped with a headphone jack with 0.25" plug for use with most headphones (not included) and allows for 8" approximate coin-depth detection. Requires two 9 volt batteries (not included). Approximately 4 lbs.

A:The Bounty Hunter Tracker IV Metal Detector does not have a range to the left and the right. For you to pick up items you need to constantly sweep the Metal Detector from left to right in a slow and steady motion. A:The Tracker IV will detect in extreme ground conditions from salt wet beaches to highly mineralized inland sites with no operator adjustments to the circuitry and with no loss of sensitivity. The unit itself is not waterproof.Answered on 4/14/2009 by Matt from Gander Tech
