Once you get it on it is easy to use, would be nice if it had some instructions but then again, I probably wouldn't read them. It was hard to adjust but in the long run that will be a benefit since it doesn't seem to move around at all. It comes with plenty of strap for a very long boat, I had to trim off a good 30' of webbing. The only real con is the webbing is threaded through the adjuster such that the tail end is on the inside of a loop, so it is somewhat fidgety to adjust. Also under the weight and tension of my heavy duty cover it the top plate is flexing a bit, I don't know how long it will last, but overall the system is very good. I only wish it had more of the vinyl tubing to protect the straps where it goes over the windshield, it has two short pieces on each end and one long one in the middle. I am using them to protect the gel coat.

I have only used the product one time. Like stated in other reviews the product takes a little time and patience to initially adjust and fit onto your boat. Difficult to do with only one person. Plenty of strap length....I actually had to cut it down once I had everything adjusted. I purchased this product to go along with my new boat cover that is now a one piece and it has straps rather then using the factory snaps. Love the new cover; but it does not work in conjunction with the support poles that came with the original boat cover. I will try the boat cover support again soon....but it is not the easiest to use and takes some time. I also have not used it when it is raining....this is the main reason I purchased this item (since the rain makes the new cover sag and fill up with pockets of water). For the money I guess it was worth trying. You will have to decide for yourself. Note: this is one of those items that you will probably not use often at the lake but will put on once you get home. To difficult to put on in poor light conditions, which most lake parking lots are after dark.

Comments about Overton's Cover Up Boat Cover Support:
Right after I got the support and boat cover on the boat is rained the next two days. The support keep the cover tight and the water ran off the cover and did not collect in the cover. worked great

Comments about Overton's Cover Up Boat Cover Support:
The product did what my husband wanted, although right now snow is sort of weighing it down into the boat - maybe some weights to purchase that would keep the cover taut.
The product arrived quickly and was a good price point for our needs.

Comments about Overton's Cover Up Boat Cover Support:
This is a simple device that raises the boat cover to keep the water from pooling. Straps stay in place. It is a little pesky for one person to install the straps but isn't difficult. I prefer this method to drilling a hole in my expensive boat cover and having some stick push it up.

Good system -- however, needs option for a secondary pole to keep boat cover from sagging over the total area.

Q:
Can I use the cover up boat cover support when trailering?Asked on 6/29/2012 by Camp Chris1 answer
A:
That is not a good idea. Please do not do that. The support system is meant to keep water from puddling on the cover. I do not think that will be an issue when you are trailering your boat.Answered on 10/17/2012 by Justin M. from Overton's

I need a system for a 23.5 foot boat. Do you have anything for this?Asked on 1/12/2011 by Martin from Gainesville, Ga.2 answers

I apologize, we would just have support poles, but no system.Answered on 2/15/2011 by Bryant from TechVERIFIED BUYER

my boat's 21, and this cover was fine. I would not get the cover up support though. You can make your own just as easy, and it will fit better.Answered on 6/11/2011 by boat owner from Mullica Hill, NJ

One of the plastic triangular items is not punched out?Asked on 7/6/2010 by chuck from Lower lake ca3 answers
A:
I believe that is supposed to go on the bottom. The one with the slots goes on the top but as to how the straps should go into them, your guess is as good as mine.Answered on 3/7/2011 by Alex from San Diego, CAA:
This item has no directions with it. Look at the picture closely you will get the view of how it should be.Answered on 9/16/2011 by Rampa from Vallejo, CAA:
