Designed to fit any standard outboard motor without drilling holes or making modifications to the boat or motor, the manual jack sets the motor back from the transom 5-1/2" and vertically travels 5". Constructed of 1/2" 6061 T6 aluminum alloy extrusions and fastened with stainless steel fasteners for maximum strength and durability. Designed for V-6 and smaller engines. 7800 lb. lifting capacity. All mounting hardware is included.

    Have a 18' aqua sport with a short shaft 90 horse yamaha and need to drop shaft/motor 4'' to 5'' . Will this help lower motor to stop prop wash.

      I would say and some. The only thing is it puts more weight to the rear of the boat so if the motor is heavy on the boat already it will drop the boat a little more below the water line. They do help increase speed as well and will help you enter more swallow water when adjusted higher.
