    The Perko Fender Locks allowed me to place bumpers, with a clean look, on the sides of my boat where I wanted protection rather than where the manufacturer left extra cleats in random locations. The installation is simple with nothing more than a drill and a screw driver. Several of my boating friends have also installed the Perko after seeing the product on my boat.

    Takes the work out of installing bumpers when docking. Be careful installing these. They break pretty easy because they are cast. I broke the first one because I installed it with rivet nuts. It put too much torque on it and split it. The bad part is I will have to order a whole set just to replace the broken one.

      Use the product at every outing, quick and simple to use, does not work well with larger fenders, rope eye needs to stick out a bit more to allow fender to be installed without having to hold bottom of fender on a slightly curved gunnel.

                    i saw the fender lock on a friends boat and had to have a set for my boat. with having the right lenght of rope tied to your bumper you just slip the lock in and you are done. i had been looking for this item since May (2011) and saw the Overton's catalogue at Gander Mt.. and there it was.

                          You can install them either inside or outside but if you mount them inside you may cause rope burn damage to the bulkhead paintwork. I prefer to mount them on the outside, as high up as possible.
