A:The rails permit the step to be out of the water only if the top of your transom to the waterline is at least 18".Answered on 9/22/2009 by Boater from Eunice, LA
A:the mounting will be about 20 inches from left to right. The one rail is about 13 or 14 inches above one of the mounting brackets and the brace that is under the platform is about 3-4 inches below the other mounting bracket. Use stainless steel screws and epoxy to make sure you seal out any water. There is a one inch range because the braces are a little flexible for mounting because of the material they are made of.Answered on 9/28/2009 by JUSTIN from OVERTON'S TECHNICIAN
