Comments about DetMar Outboard Swim Platform With Single Step (ivory):
we use this for entering the boat after skiing, tubing or swimming. it's a good design of high quality. i have used one of these on another boat for years. the only thing that i would recommend is that the platform be bolted to the transome of the boat instead of using the lag screws that are provided with the platform. this may require some cutting and the installation of an access hole cover to accomplish but its worth it and requires only basic tools.

Q:
I purchased this product last year and never found time to install it. Pulled it out this year and can't fiqure it out! My problem is the curved handrail part. When held against the transom (which is verticle, with the tabs on the end facing down as shown, the upper part of the handrail is five inches from the transom. The only way to make it contact the transom is to pitch the platform at a 20 degree angle towards the boat! Help!Asked on 5/24/2011 by KW9700 from Utah0 answers
