I have a Jennings TrophyMaster bow and the rubber shock stopper wore out. I contacted Jennings and they basically said the stoppers had been discontinued. They didn't offer to send any replacement cable guard to make up for it. I called Larry at the Chambersburg store and he said to bring it in and he would find something to make it work, even if he had to order a part.

I went there and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the Jennings bows and that particular problem. He took the time to explain what the bow needed. He went into his little box of parts and found two rubber stoppers that would work with a minor adjustment. He also showed me how to adjust the stopper so the string hit it in the center. He was very friendly and had my bow on the way to being fixed for a very reasonable price! I was very satisfied with the service!!!

This store is 1 1/2 hour drive from my home but it is worth it! I buy nearly all of my hunting gear from Gander Mtn; great quality and great selection! I'm proud to wear one of my many Gander hats or t-shirts!!!

Rob did great! He is a young man who I could tell was busy. He walked by me near the tents and asked if I needed help. I told him I was looking for a new tent, needed quite a large one for my family’s needs but could not overspend. Right away Rob said "I have the perfect tent for you". The granite point tent and he was perfectly correct! He described its functions, knew its sizes off the top of his head, compared it to other tents to show why it was better, and gave me some tips to make camping easier for me by showing me products to keep my tent dry and the best way to stake it.

Not only did Rob help me find my tent, he eventually rang me up for it. As I made my way to the checkout lane I saw rob ringing up customers. I wanted to go to his lane right away. He said "long time no see sir" with a huge smile. He rang me up quick like a machine, said "thank you it was nice to meet you come back and see us again now", and I most definitely will. It is nice to see a young man working, and working hard, who obviously enjoys his job and knows what he is doing. Due to Rob, I will always recommend Gander over the other competitors to my friends.

Thank You.

Mike was a wonderful sales associate. He listened to what questions I had about Flounder fishing, and his guidance was invaluable to me on my flounder trip to Wachapreague. Mike suggested a rod/reel setup, which I bought, and outfitted me with the proper rigs, hooks, leaders, sinkers, etc. He even drew me a map of the area where he has had great fishing success.

I went on my trip and caught many fish with two 20" keepers. The techniques Mike explained and demonstrated to me worked like a charm. He even told me his super secret bait which I used with success! How nice is that!? Mike showed patience while explaining things and describing things in terms which I could understand.

Good salesmanship, at the retail store level, is hard to come by. But it seems like Gander Mountain excels at hiring people who are actually enthusiastic about their profession. I have never had a bad shopping experience at this store. Thanks to Mike, you will always have me as a loyal customer!!

I recently bought a Liberty Gun Safe from Gander Mtn in Baraboo, WI. Since they do not deliver something like that, I rented a dolly and gathered some able bodied friends to haul it home. Being that it was almost 500 lbs, it was not an easy job.

After getting it home, I could not open the safe. After a call to Liberty Safe and a series of "tests" it was apparent the combo/lock was defective. Liberty Safe called Gander Mtn, explained the problem and that I was leaving town the next morning on vacation and had no way to bring the safe back for exchange. The store manager, Nick Brantner, said he would take care of it.

Within 2 hours, using his personal truck and some employee help drove 30 miles and delivered a new safe to me. They set it up and hauled the defective one back. He even returned the rented dolly for me on his way back to Baraboo. That's above and beyond the call of duty and is greatly appreciated!

My name is Chad M. Sullivan and I'm a Soldier serving with the 10th Mountain Light Infantry Division. I've been deployed seven times as an Infantryman in the United States Army, four of which were combat deployments (Somalia, Afghanistan, and twice to Iraq).

One of the hardest things we do as Soldiers is re-integrate with our families following the completion of these deployments. My Sergeant Major told me all about how he and his son were close because of all the time they spent together shooting arrows, and how it gave them a "common" interest. I was sold; when I got back from Iraq my son (age nine) and I were going to practice archery together.

I contacted Bill Mattison while I was still in Iraq about three months ago, he gave me terrific information concerning what to buy and said he would be expecting me. He seemed excited to help me out. I severely fractured my foot about six weeks ago and returned early from Iraq for surgery and to recover from my injuries. I contacted Bill Mattison from the archery store, he remembered me and said to come on down to the store when I felt better.

When I went with my son, he spent over an hour of his time going over all the different types of equipment required, what it was for, and how to use it. We made some purchases and he said he would give us lessons. My son and I started these lessons last week; again, Bill Mattison provided tremendous instruction and displayed the greatest amount of patience as he talked us through correct form, anchor points, release, follow-though and the other fine points of archery.

I'm extremely familiar with weaponry, and he is among the best instructor's I've been associated with, he's also great with children. I can honestly say Bill Mattison has not only assisted with our archery, he has more importantly assisted with the integration of a Soldier and his family returning from Iraq. Thank you Bill.
