How it does it work?

Buy Online and Pick Up in Store is a great tool for helping you find the items you want, and then allowing you to pick them up quickly and easily at your local Gander Mtn. Store. You will also be pleased that there are no extra fees associated with this service. Here's how it works.

1) Find the items you want online and check inventory at your local Gander Mtn. Store.
2) Place your order online.
3) Once your order is processed, we'll send you a “Ready for Pickup” email.
4) If items on your order are shipping to the store, the store will call you when your order is ready.
5) When picking up your order, bring the order confirmation number or confirmation email and a valid government-issued ID.
6) Orders will be held at the store for 8 days. If after 8 days, you have not picked up your order, the order will be canceled and a refund will be placed on your credit card.

Q: How do I find out which stores have the item I want?

To find out if the item you want to order is available at your preferred store, click the "Find in Store" link found on the product detail page and category page, and put in your zip code to view inventory at your local store. You can also add the item to your cart and check your store's inventory from your shopping cart.


Q: Can I place an order when the store is closed?

Yes. If the items are available, your order will be ready for pickup the next day, during normal business hours. We will notify you via email when your order is ready.


Q: If an item isn't available at my preferred store, can it be shipped to the store?

Yes, we can ship most items to your local store for free. However, items that require an additional freight charge to be calculated online are not eligible for in-store pickup. Other items listed here may also be excluded from Ship to Store Pick-Up.. All other items are available for Ship-to-Store Pickup unless otherwise prohibited by restrictions in the state where the store is located. Additional freight charges will apply to items that require an additional freight charge of $25 or more.

Your credit card will be charged when the merchandise is ready for pickup.

Q: When will my order be ready?

This depends on the time of day that you placed the order and your store's hours. We will notify you via email when your order is ready for pickup. If your item has to be shipped to the store, you will be notified at the phone number provided with your order. In-stock items will arrive in approximately 2-5 business days. If your order contains any backordered items, they will arrive 2-5 days after we receive the stock in our warehouse.


Q: Who can pick up the order?

Your order may be picked up by the person who placed the order online or by the person named as the alternate for pickup during checkout. Only one alternate pickup person can be chosen per order. For firearms, only the person who placed the order can pick up the firearm and any other items on that order.

The store will hold your order for eight days. After the eighth day, your order will be cancelled, and a refund will be placed on your credit card.

You will need the order confirmation number or confirmation email and a valid government-issued ID, such as a Driver's License, Passport, or Military ID.

Yes, you can! Fitting rooms will be available for your use.


Q: How do I return an order that I picked up in the store?

You can return your order to any Gander Mtn. store at no additional cost. You may also return your online purchase through the mail.
