  • Eligibility

    The Gander Outdoors™ New Logo Contest (the "Contest") is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who have reached the age of (18) eighteen in their State of residence by May 1st, 2017. Employees of Gander Mountain, LLC ("Sponsor"), Overton’s, LLC, CWI, Inc., and/or any other company involved in the execution of the Contest, their parent companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, together with the immediate families and those persons living in the same household as such employees, are not eligible. By entering this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.

  • Contest Overview

    Eligible individuals may enter the Contest by creating a design for the new logo in digital format and either (1) emailing it to newlogo@ganderoutdoors.com; or (2) posting it on Sponsor’s Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter timeline, or tweeting directly to @marcuslemonis. Your logo submission must include the hashtag #ganderoutdoors.

  • Contest Period

    The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Central Daylight Time (“CDT”) on May 11, 2017 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CDT on June 10, 2017 (the “Contest Period”). All eligible logo submissions must be received or posted by no later than 11:59 p.m. CDT on June 10, 2017 in order to be considered for the Contest.

  • How to Enter

    At any time during the Contest Period, send your logo design in a digital format to newlogo@ganderoutdoors.com or post to Sponsor's Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter timeline. When you send or upload your logo design, you must also include the hashtag #ganderoutdoors with your submission.

  • Requirements for and Restrictions on Submissions

    Technical Requirements

    • The file must not be more than 25MB in size.
    • The file must be submitted in either .jpg or .png formats. No other file formats will be accepted.
    • The logo may not be posted to any publicly accessible Internet or Social Media site at any time prior to submission or thereafter.

    Content Requirements and Restrictions

    • All content in the logo must be the entrant’s original creation and may not include any personally identifiable information associated with the entrant or anyone else.
    • The logo may not contain any images which involves graphic violence, vulgar language, acts resulting in serious injury or death, any acts of a sexual nature or contain depictions of illegal activity or appear to incite illegal activity.
    • The logo may not contain any depictions of full or partial nudity or contain any images of a pornographic or obscene nature and/or any material which could be harmful if viewed by minors.
    • The logo may not contain content which is intended to victimize, harass, degrade and/or intimidate an individual or group of individuals on the basis of age, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, race and/or religion.
    • The logo may not give the appearance of condoning, advertising and/or offering for sale inappropriate products or services including, but not limited to, lotteries, firearms, fireworks, explosive materials, tobacco, alcohol, and adult-oriented products and/or services.
    • The logo may not give the appearance of endorsement by, sponsorship, affiliation with, or advertisement of any third party and/or its products or services.

    Third Party Rights Restrictions

    • The logo may not contain the likeness of anyone who has not consented to use of their likeness in the image.
    • The logo may not contain any content which infringes on any third party intellectual property rights (trademark, copyright and/or patent), rights of publicity or any other rights.

    Logo submissions that do not strictly adhere to the above requirements and restrictions will be considered void and will not be considered in the judging of this Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any logo submission, at any time which, in the Sponsor’s reasonable opinion, 1) is immoral, obscene, profane, defamatory, offensive or in any way not keeping with the Sponsor’s image; 2) describes or induces the committing of dangerous stunts, tricks or other such conduct that could lead to physical injury and/or property damage; 3) endangers the safety and well-being of any person or animal; 4) contains any materials which infringe upon any third party rights including, but not limited to, trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret, rights of publicity or any other such proprietary rights of and legal entities or individual, whether living or deceased; and 5) is otherwise in violation of any provision of these Official Rules.

    All logo submissions become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting your logo, you assign to Sponsor all rights in and to your logo design, including but not limited to the right to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, post, broadcast, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, create derivative works of, exhibit, and otherwise use the logo submission (without credit to the entrant) in any media or for any commercial use throughout the world for any purpose, without limitation, and without additional review, compensation, or approval from you or any other party. By submitting your logo submission, you forever waive any rights of copyrights, trademark rights, patent rights, privacy rights, and any other legal or moral rights in the logo submission that may preclude the Sponsor’s use of the logo submission, or require your permission for the Sponsor to use your logo submission. By submitting your logo design, you further agree not to instigate, support, maintain, or authorize any action, claim, or lawsuit against Sponsor, or any other person or entity, on the grounds that any use of your logo submission, or any derivative works, infringe any of your rights, including, without limitation, copyrights, or moral rights. You further acknowledge that Sponsor is in no way obligated to publish or use your logo submission in any way and Sponsor, at its sole discretion, may elect to adopt, use, or register any submission as a trademark or service mark in any jurisdiction, worldwide. Nothing herein shall constitute an employment, joint venture, or partnership relationship between you and Sponsor. In no way are you to be construed as the agent or to be acting as the agent of Sponsor. You agree to release Sponsor and its agencies and affiliates, and each of their respective employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, members, successors and assigns from any and all claims that any advertising subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of Sponsor infringes your rights with regard to any elements and/or ideas contained in your logo submission.

  • Representations and Warranties

    By completing the Contest Submission Form and submitting your logo design, you represent and warrant that 1) the logo design, and all content therein, in no way infringes upon the intellectual property, privacy and/or publicity rights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party, whether living or deceased, and does not defame any person or identify any person, including yourself, by name or other personally identifiable information; 2) the logo design has not been submitted for consideration in any other contest; 3) the logo design has not been uploaded to any other Internet or Social Media site or any other media; 4) the logo design does not violate any law or regulation; 5) you are the sole creator of the logo design and you own any and all rights to the logo design, including but not limited to any copyrights therein. You further agree to waive any claim for reimbursement for any equipment or materials necessary to produce and submit the logo design, regardless of whether the logo design is selected for any prize in the Contest. Sponsor’s determination as to whether the logo design may violate the rights of any third party and/or violates one or more of the provisions in these Official Rules is FINAL.

  • Judging

    Logo submissions will be judged solely by Marcus Lemonis. Mr. Lemonis will evaluate each logo submission based upon the following criteria:

    • Originality and overall artistic impression (25%)
    • Market appeal (25%)
    • Creativity and freshness of the logo and how well it captures the outdoor lifestyle (50%)

    Mr. Lemonis will select the one hundred (100) best logo submissions, including one (1) Grand Prize winner, from all eligible logo submissions received by 11:59 p.m. CDT on June 10, 2017, based on the criteria set forth herein. Logo submissions will be ranked by overall score and: (i) the top-scoring submission will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner; and (ii) the next ninety-nine (99) top-scoring submissions will be deemed the Potential Prize Winners. In the event of a tie, the tied submission with the highest point total for the third criterion (Creativity and freshness of the logo and how well it captures the outdoor lifestyle) will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner. The people who submitted the logo submissions receiving the ninety-nine (99) highest point totals, including the person who submitted the highest-scoring logo submission, will be notified via instant/private message between June 19 - 28, 2017 (the “Potential Prize Winners” and, in the case of the entrant whose submission receives the highest score, the “Potential Grand Prize Winner”). The decision of Mr. Lemonis shall be final and binding in all regards. Sponsor reserves the right not to award all or any prizes in the event that an insufficient number of eligible entries meeting the minimum judging criteria are received, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

  • Prize Winner Notification

    Sponsor will announce Potential Prize WinnersJune 19 - 28, 2017 by posting the winning logos on Sponsor's website, Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter and by contacting the individual by instant/private message or email. The Potential Prize Winners must be at least 18 years-of-age and will be required to complete a winner’s affidavit, a liability release, provide native logo submission file (eps or ai file) and (where lawful) a publicity release prior to receiving the prize. Failure to return the affidavit within seventy-two (72) hours of receipt will result in the prize being forfeited and a new potential winner being selected. If a Potential Prize Winner (or Potential Grand Prize Winner, if applicable) is not eligible or cannot be reached by instant/private message, after the second attempt, or if the prize notification is ignored, returned as unclaimed, not timely responded to, or undeliverable for whatever reason beyond the control of Sponsor, the prize will be forfeited, and the logo submission with the next highest overall score will be deemed the new Potential Prize Winner (or Potential Grand Prize Winner, if applicable).

  • Prizes

    One hundred (100) prizes will be awarded, namely:
    One Grand Prize – One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000); and
    Top 99 Prizes – One Thousand Dollar ($1,000) Gift Card to Gander Outdoors

    (hereinafter the “Prizes”). Details of the Prizes and availability are subject to change, in which case Sponsor may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. The Prize Winners are solely responsible for any local, state and federal taxes and fees for the total ARV of the Prizes. Prizes are non-transferable, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. No substitutions or cash redemptions, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Prize Winners may receive an IRS Form 1099 from Sponsor for the total ARV of Prize. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of all Prizes - $199,000.

  • Prize Conditions and Restrictions

    All potential winners are subject to verification. Sponsor and the Released Parties will not replace any lost or stolen prizes. No more than the stated number of prizes set forth in these Official Rules will be awarded. All prizes will be awarded.

  • Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

    This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram, and/or Twitter. By participating in this Contest, you hereby agree to release Facebook, Instagram®, and Twitter from any and all cla ims arising therefrom.

  • General

    VOID EVERYWHERE OUTSIDE OF THE FIFTY UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. VOID IN ALL OTHER U.S. TERRITORIES, AND WHERE RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, MUNICIPAL AND LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. Prizes are non-transferable; no substitutions or exchanges, except by Sponsor due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. All expenses on receipt and use of prize and any federal, state and local taxes on the prize are the responsibility of the winner. All Contest submissions are void if (a) not submitted in accordance with these Official Rules and through legitimate channels, (b) any part is counterfeit, altered, defective, illegible, reproduced, tampered with, mutilated or irregular in any way or (c) contain printing, typographical, mechanical, seeding or other errors. Prize winners may be required by Sponsor to execute an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release and (where lawful) a publicity release within fourteen (14) days after being notified of potentially winning status. Noncompliance within specified time period or return of any prize notification as undeliverable or a determination that any selected entrant is ineligible will result in disqualification of that selected entrant. By entering Contest, entrants hereby waive and release the Sponsor and its advertising and promotions agencies, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensors, licensees, franchisees, contractors, distributors, suppliers, sales representatives, retailers, advertising or promotion agencies, and each of their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, representatives, members, successors, agents and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind (including, without limitation, personal injury, death, and/or property damage, as well as claims, where lawful, based on publicity rights, defamation, and/or invasion of privacy) in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, those arising, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of participation in the Contest, or from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or coupon awarded in connection with the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) entries that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected, or not received by the Sponsor or its agents for any reason, (ii) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communication failures or human error that may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of entries, or for destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, (iii) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone, cable or satellite transmissions, cellular equipment towers, damage to entrants’ or any person’s computer, wireless phone/handset and/or its contents, or causes beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Contest or (iv) any entries submitted in a manner that is not expressly allowed under these rules. Released Parties assume no responsibility for canceled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events beyond their control. All incomplete or non-conforming entries will be disqualified. Released Parties are further not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the transmission, receipt or processing of the entries. By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules, and understand that the results are final in all respects. By accepting a prize, winner grants to Sponsor and its advertising and promotions agencies the right to use his/her name, likeness, hometown and biographical information, for any lawful purpose (including but not limited to advertising and promotion), in perpetuity, in any media now known or hereafter developed, without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law. By accepting a prize, each winner releases Released Parties from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, including without limitation property damages, personal injury and/or death, arising out of participating in this Contest, or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any coupon or prize, or while preparing for, participating in and/or traveling to or from any coupon or prize related activity and (where lawful) claims based on rights of publicity, rights of privacy, defamation or prize delivery. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel the entire Contest or modify the Contest, if fraud destroys the integrity of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor or Sponsor's advertising or promotions agency, in its sole discretion. In the event of such cancelation Sponsor shall award the remaining prizes via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received as of the date of termination. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

  • Governing Law; Disputes

    By entering the Contest, each entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or the Prize award shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court in Chicago, Illinois; and (ii) in addition to the limitations in Section 7 of these Official Rules, any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees. Except where prohibited by law, all issues concerning the construction, validity and enforcement of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor, shall be construed and governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflicts of law rules that may cause the application of a law other than the law of the State of Illinois.

  • Winners List

    To obtain the names of prize winners, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope (VT and WA residents may omit self-addressed postage but include self-addressed envelope) after June 30, 2017 and no later than December 31, 2017 to: Gander OutdoorsTM New Logo Contest Winners List, 250 Parkway Drive, Suite 270, Lincolnshire, Illinois, 60069.
